Solar Eclipse Activities Aug 21, 2017
Observing the eclipse in front of the planetarium with the CNCP Coronado Solar Telescope. Your hosts/guides are the Graesles, a pair of astronomers from SW FL Astronomical Society! A *LIMITED* number of Solar eclipse glasses available for when you are not looking through the telescope (sorry there are only a limited number to share, but the demand has been totally out of the bounds of what we thought possible). 1:30 – 4 pm. Maximum coverage at 2:53 pm. 12:30 show in planetarium is about solar eclipses, and special 3 pm movie in planetarium is about solar superstorms!

All day: Kids Eclipse Crafts in the Main Building
12:30 – Eclipse Planetarium Show with Harry Dunfee
1:30 – Duke and Donna Graesle set up Coronado Solar Telescope and guide viewers
1:45 – 2:15 – Education Coordinator Walter Cheatham hosts Solar Eclipse Presentation in the planetarium (onstage)
2:15 – 2:53 – Eclipse viewing with the Graesles up to maximum OR (if cloudy) showing NASA eclipse coverage in the planetarium
3:00 – 4 pm – Solar Superstorms movie in the planetarium with Harry Dunfee
