The Sanibel Island Fishing Club meets monthly through the season and sponsors several group fishing outings as well as lending support for various conservation related charities and organizations such as Ding Darling, Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, Captains for Clean Water, the Bonefish and Tarpon Trust and the Sanibel Sea School. The Sanibel Island Fishing Club has been an active social club for more than 30 years on Sanibel Island. Regular meetings are held the second Tuesday evening, October through May.
