Fort Myers 4th of July Parade & Fireworks 2022

Experience the most exotic Independence Day on Fort Myers Beach

On the 4th of July, Fort Myers becomes a real patriotic mecca for visitors and residents of the city. Thousands of people gather on Fort Myers Beach annually for an Independence Day parade, which starts as early as 10 am at Bay Oaks Recreation Center, goes down Estero Boulevard, and ends at Times Square. People dress in colorful costumes, grab their American flags, and get ready to witness tons of colorful floats. The Matanzas Pass Bridge even gets closed for the time of the parade. Usually, there is also a live music concert with famous local bands performing their best hits, so visit the Fort Myers Beach official website to see the lineup.

Once you’ve reached Times Square, feel free to hang out at this place for a while because the firework display takes place there. At 9 pm, after the sunset, people grab their beach or lawn chairs and wait to see dazzling lights against the dark sky. If you’re visiting Fort Myers for a short period, be sure to book your accommodation beforehand as the city is very busy this time of year.
