3 Things to Do to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2018 in the Fort Myers Area

It's almost here: St. Patrick's Day! This Irish holiday typically involves some green beer and maybe even some shamrocks. However, what if you want to mix it up a bit? 

There are some really fun and pretty unique things happening in the Fort Myers area this St. Patrick's Day. From a classic St. Patty's Day parade to exploring the various local places at a block party, we put together three of our favorite events for you to think about.

4th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Trolley Event

According to the event website, tickets are almost gone, so make sure you reserve today! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an Irish-inspired pub crawl in Cape Coral’s Entertainment District!

This is the fourth year the event is taking place. You’ll board the exclusive trolleys to travel to various locations where you can enjoy a specialty drink for just $2.50 at each place*. Get your passport stamped at every participating stop (no purchase required) and you can win an Irish-themed basket filled with Guinness, Jameson, Baileys and more! You’ll get a special gift at check-in, and you can also win prizes on the trolleys, including swag and gift cards to local spots.

Expect lots of entertainment, including live music, dancing, singing and more! This is a 21+ event. Valid ID at check-in will be required. Tickets are $10 in advance, and are available at BackStreets Sports Bar.

Downtown Fort Myers Block Party: St. Patty's Day

Celebrate St. Patty’s with the annual downtown Fort Myers block party!
 
Shamrock and roll all day and night at the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Southwest Florida.

On March 17th, Downtown Fort Myers turns green at the annual “St. Patrick’s Day Downtown” event. The festivities will begin at 12PM and will continue until 10PM in the heart of the Fort Myers River District. Free to the public, the event promises fun for the entire family.

Enjoy live music from The Echo, Iconic, The Electric Mud and MFYF, as well as food and drink specials, games for prizes, corn hole, and of course, plenty of cold beer.

2018 St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Every year, Fort Myers Beach goes green and everyone’s Irish for the day! 

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. The route will be from Santini Marina Plaza North on Estero Blvd. to the Church of the Ascension. This part of Estero Blvd. will be closed for approximately one hour starting at 9:45 a.m.

In its 20th year, the parade will include color guards, civic, business and neighborhood groups, floats and musical bands.
