Where to Catch Holiday Lights in Fort Myers

Dec 16, 2017 06:36PM ● By Kevin
There's plenty to do in the Fort Myers area this holiday season. Here are some great family-friendly ways to brighten it up. From photos with Santa and Christmas lights drive-thru tours, there is plenty to celebrate.

This year, we highlight some of the coolest light shows and events in the area for you and yours to experience. Here are some nearby picks.

Edison & Ford Holiday Nights

Explore Christmas Past at Edison & Ford Holiday Nights at Edison and Ford Winter Estates. From Thanksgiving through the first week of January, enjoy nightly entertainment, holiday tradition tours, evening river cruises, and on select nights – Santa visits. There’s a reason USA Today selected Edison & Ford Holiday Nights as one of the “Top Ten Historic Holiday Sites” in 2013 — come see why

The Holiday House

For more than fifty years, the Fort Myers Woman's Community Club has taken over historic sites in Fort Myers during the holidays. Currently located at the Burroughs Home, the group adorns this well preserved property with elegance and in period décor. The club doesn't stop here, but also includes the neighboring Langford-Kinston home to make this event a two-stop tour. The Holiday House, with it's twinkling lights, usually opens the first week in December and runs until Christmas, with doors opening at 5pm and closing again at 9pm. Besides the evening tours, there are events with Santa on site, including a breakfast for the kids. A good stop for the entire family.

McGregor Boulevard

In a review on TripAdvisor, McGregor Boulevard was mentioned as being a great spot to see Christmas lights.

"We are staying in Cape Coral just down the road from Fort Myers and read on Trip advisor about this road so thought we would take a little detour on the way back from a day out," Sarah P. Wiltshire said in the 2012, 4-star review. "Glad we did as no-one seems to do Christmas lights better than the Americans!

"The road is lined with palms and is the route to Edison & Ford Estates. They offer a Christmas light tour but at $20 per person we feel we got our moneys worth just by driving down the road!
The Christmas lights were amazing."
