Deep Lagoon Seafood and Oyster House is already making a buzz in Southwest Florida, opening its second location in south Fort Myers in late June. The concept was first opened in February 2017 in Naples by the family known for Pinchers in Fort Myers Beach and Texas Tony's Rib & BrewHouse in Naples.

The new restaurant, located on McGregor Boulevard, boasts 275 seats, overlooking the Deep Lagoon off of the Caloosahatchee River. Because of this, the owners invite visitors to come by boat if they so desire. The dock is less than a mile south of the Cape Coral bridge.

As for cuisine, the restaurant cooks up coastal casual and has formed a local partnership with the Island Crab Company in order to serve up fresh fish daily.

The Phelan family's latest endeavor is already making waves in Fort Myers, earning very positive reviews across the board on FacebookYelp, and TripAdvisor.

"The atmosphere was great," said Mary Ann on Facebook. "Not to loud we’re we couldn’t here each other. The Cerviche was the best I’ve ever had and the Rainnbow Trout special, was cooked to perfection. Our waitress was an Angel and she made our first experience a delight!"

The restaurant has earned 4.8 out of 5 stars on Facebook across 19 reviews. It has been recommended 36 times.

"Very lovely interior!" said Leslie on Yelp. "Got [there] at 5:15, and by the time we left at 6:15, people were waiting. We were promptly seated on the screened porch. Nice and cool out there. Our server came promptly, and took our drink orders. [Throughout] our meal, she gave us just the right amount of attention. My Hogfish entree was delicious. My husband had fried oysters, and he was happy. This place will be packed in season! Our experience will bring us back very soon."

Deep Lagoon averages 4 out of 5 stars on Yelp across 19 reviews. The trend continues on TripAdvisor, where the restaurant has earned a 4.0 rating on 34 reviews.

"This was our first visit to this new restaurant and we enjoyed everything about it," said Jon on TripAdvisor. "Modern and more of an upscale atmosphere than many spots in the area, with dining both inside and on a terrace with a nice view of the marina. Our meal was delicious - we both had a chili-rubbed seafood entree. We highly recommend this spot."
